Photos 2001/2002

Here are the pictures that I have for the Hotter-N-Hell 2002 Tour

Welcome to the Starting Line.

Think about this. You see a whole bunch of people. Now look at the blue building in the back ground (the tallest building). The people go that far back.

This is one of the reasons I ride. Beautiful!

Welcome to the fruit bar. All you care to eat of oranges, bananas, mango, kiwi, catalope....

Get your picture taken with The United State's great icons. George Washington, Uncle Sam, and others.

Tired? Drop that bike and head to the tents for refreshment.

A tent for liquids, a tent for medical, and a tent for food.

Here is the drink tent. Got to rehydrate.

Lets go shopping. Here is what else the ride had to offer. Dozen of shops traveled here to sell their stuff for cheap. I got a pump and a cadence cyclometer this year.

Cool Stuff!

Here are some pictures of the 2002 Melon Patch in Deleon, Texas. Best Ride Of The Year. Keep that Dublin Dr. Pepper flowing.

On your marks. They started with two people playing trumpets of the national anthem. Then a staggered start with the 60+ milers going first.

Hey it's hot. Where are all the cyclist?

Under the tents.

Here is the HQ

Get your stuff ready to go.

Done with the ride? Heres a treat. Yahoo (Just an expression, not the dot com.)

Here are some pictures for last year's Firecracker (in Stephenville) and Hotter-N-Hell (Wichita Falls)

Getting ready to ride.

Hotter-N-Hell racers. Or Hell Raisers. Which ever one you prefer.

And they are off. This was the Friday evening loop. They would pass us many times. So we got alot of pictures.

It was great, they were going at great speeds being led by a red corvette. Wish I could go that fast.

Here they come around the corner again. Everytime they passed, you were worried that there would be a wreck. On occassion, there was.

At the Firecracker. Many bikers for this ride.

It rained that year. Everyone got wet. But that is the price you pay for being an outdoors person.

What? Were done? I thought we were going 200 miles today. LOL.
